Cotton Seed Oil
Cotton Seed Oil
Cottonseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the cotton plants through either mechanical processes such as crushing or pressing or by chemical processes such as solvent extraction.
It is cooking oil, mainly used for salad oil, mayonnaise, salad dressing, and similar products because of its flavor stability. Seeds like Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium herbaceum, are grown for cotton fiber, animal feed, and oil.
Cottonseed oil is a heart-healthy oil choice having zero cholesterol and is trans-free. Cottonseed oil has three times as many polyunsaturated fats as saturated fats.
